When I saw the package returned from the consulate, I knew that it was too soon to have a positive return of my visa. Rejected because I needed the ANAEM paperwork, which the uni told me would be sent to the consulate, not to me. Obviously, they were wrong.
Four weeks until I am supposed to leave for France and here I am, 10 000km from France, waiting for the ANAEM paperwork that I need to attach to my visa application. The guy at the uni said that I didn't need it as the consulate would just receive it, of course this was wrong as the visa application was rejected and needs the ANAEM papers, which I haven't yet received.
I emailed the guy at the uni to get him to help (and apparently he left for holidays yesterday, did say he'd be checking his email but still...). Then I've been trying to get on to the ANAEM office for Poitiers, which I got the phone number for from the office that used to look after the Poitiers area, but now there is a new office. So as well as it being summer and everyone being on holidays, there is a new office. So there is definitely noone answering their phones in France - oh except for the guy who said he can't help me.
Four weeks til my booked flight. Two weeks for a letter to arrive in Australia from France. Two weeks minimum turnover for visas at the consulate. I hate French paperwork.
My book came yesterday!
